We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.We currently have an opening for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at our SAIL Program at Polk Academy.Job GoalThe Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) works with students individually and in small groups and is responsible for behavior-analytic interventions to reduce problem behavior, remediation of skill deficits, and daily paperwork and behavioral date recording. BHT's/RBT's help with classroom management, de-escalation of problem behaviors, problem solving skills training, supporting academic and behavior goals; and supervising activities of daily living.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesImplement continuous measurement procedures (e.g., frequency, duration).Implement discontinuous measurement procedures (e.g., partial & whole interval, momentary time sampling).Implement permanent product recording procedures.Describe behavior and the environment in observable and measurable terms.Conduct preference assessments.Identify the essential components of a written skill acquisition plan.Prepare for the session as required by the skill acquisition plan.Use contingencies of reinforcement (e.g., conditioned/unconditioned reinforcement, continuous/intermittent schedules).Implement generalization and maintenance procedures.Assist with the training of stakeholders (e.g., family, caregivers, other professionals).Implement written behavior reduction plan.Complete clinical notes and other tasks necessary for billing purposes using CentralReach.Describe common functions of behavior.Implement extinction procedures.Implement crisis/emergency procedures according to protocol.Implement interventions based on modification of antecedents such as motivating/establishing operations.Implement differential reinforcement procedures.Implement discrete trial teaching procedures.Naturalistic teaching procedures (e.g., incidental teaching).Create and provide instruction using task analysis and chaining procedures.Implement discrimination training and stimulus control transfer procedures.Implement stimulus fading and prompt fading procedures.Generate objective session notes by describing what occurred during sessions.Report other variables that might affect the client's behavior (e.g., illness, relocation, medication).Respond appropriately to feedback and maintain or improve performance accordingly.Maintain professional boundaries (e.g., avoid dual relationships, conflicts of interest and abstain from social media contacts).QualificationsPreferred 1-2 years' experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.Must have a high school diploma or GED;Must be willing to obtain and maintain the qualifications of Registered Behavior Technician certification.Must have updated child abuse and FBI clearances, criminal background check and have completed the mandated reporter training.BenefitsFull Time, Academic Year (10-Months/195 Days)School Hours (Monday-Friday, approximate hours 7:00am-3:00pm)Paid Leave for Sick and Personal DaysEnjoy Time Off for All School HolidaysPaid Year RoundChoice of Two Medical Plans, Dental, Vision and Voluntary Life InsuranceCompany Paid: Group Life Insurance and Employee Assistance ProgramRetirement Plan with Company Match up to 3% of your Annual SalaryTuition ReimbursementPlease submit letter of interest, resume, and current clearances to this posting.BHA is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
