Staff Accountant POST NUMBER: 302188

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's accounting team. This position will be responsible for supporting general ledger accounting functions, preparing reconciliations, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly close activities.
• Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset accounting.
• Support financial reporting and management reporting requests.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to obtain and analyze financial information.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1-4 years of accounting experience.
• Understanding of general ledger accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups preferred.
• Experience with an ERP system is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
