Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week Intensive Care Unit (ICU) travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong critical care background and the ability to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and medically complex patients.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and advanced critical care treatments.
• Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care.

Unit Information

• Primary Assignment: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Typical Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:
  • ICU: 2:1 (occasionally 3:1)
• Floating Requirement:
  • Float to the Emergency Department to care for admitted patients awaiting inpatient beds.
  • May occasionally care for Medical-Surgical patients with a ratio of up to 5:1.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (required).
• Previous floating experience and willingness to float as needed (required).
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and emergency response skills.

Required Certifications

• Active Oklahoma RN License or Compact RN License (must be active at the time of submission)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
• On-Call Requirement: None
