About the Role
The Company is in search of a General Counsel to serve as the primary legal advisor, providing strategic legal advice, and managing a wide range of legal matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, protecting the organization against legal risks, and overseeing the legal department. This role requires a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, a minimum of 5 years of legal experience, and a strong background in risk management and contract drafting. The General Counsel will also be tasked with developing and implementing company policies, supervising legal staff, and staying updated on relevant legal changes. Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should possess a JD degree from an accredited law school, a minimum of 5 years of legal experience, and a license to practice law in North Carolina. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in providing strategic legal advice, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a team. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of professional ethics, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include serving as the lead contact for all legal matters, developing and implementing company policies, and ensuring that all business activities are in accordance with the law and company policies.
