Warehouse Worker

Immediately hiring for Warehouse Workers where you will handle shipping tasks, utilize forklifts, and ensure products are securely packaged and shipped accurately. This is a full time and long term job opportunity, looking for reliable employees that have prior experience shipping and receiving orders, working in a warehouse, picking and packing customer orders, and filling orders in a timely manner. We do offer weekly pay and company benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, and load steel plates and other materials throughout the shipping department and onto trucks for outbound shipments.
• Follow customer orders and work orders accurately to ensure the correct materials, quantities, and specifications are prepared and shipped.
• Deburr steel plates and parts using handheld grinders, removing imperfections and preparing products for shipment.
• Measure steel plates and other materials prior to shipping using tape measures, rulers, micrometers, and other measuring tools, ensuring accuracy down to 1/32 of an inch.
• Convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions when measuring and recording dimensions to maintain precise documentation.
• Package products in correctly sized boxes or containers, making up secure packages and strapping work on skids with proper identification, including types and heat numbers.
• Palletize products and transport them throughout the shipping department, organizing loads for efficient handling and shipment.
• Complete necessary shipping paperwork, including bills of lading and other required documentation, with accurate information and attention to detail.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including checking materials in and out, verifying quantities, and assisting with inventory-related activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized bench and work area, following housekeeping and safety standards.
• Learn and correctly identify different grades and gauges of material used in the facility.
• Read and interpret instructions, drawings, prints, and work orders accurately to perform shipping, packaging, and measuring tasks.
• Assist with general material handling and laborer duties in the warehouse and yard as needed.
• Work cooperatively as part of a tight-knit team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive, family-oriented work atmosphere.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Glenmoore, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
