Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7:15 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active Michigan License required Certifications: - Active American Heart Association BLS - Active American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: - Tele Cardiac Experience required - Recent travel work history highly preferred Description: This position performs a variety of integrated functions. It utilizes the nursing process while applying broad nursing knowledge. Care is delivered in a caring and concerned manner. Responsibilities include assessing patients for physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, as well as family support. Organizing and coordinating all aspects of patient care according to real or perceived needs is essential. Evaluating patient progress is conducted by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge. Consultation and collaboration with healthcare team members are necessary in planning and implementing total patient care. The primary patient population includes all tele patients. The patient care ratio is 4:1, but sometimes may need to stretch to 5:1.
