Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in hydraulic components, is seeking a Setup Machinist - Weekend to join their team. As a Setup Machinist - Weekend, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CNC Setup Machinist

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $25-$26

Shift: Multiple Available

Monday-Thursday, 5:30AM-4PM

Friday-Sunday, 5:30AM-6PM -- work 36 hours get paid for 40

What's the Job?

• Safely and accurately operate CNC or manual machines to fabricate tubes, rods, and components used in hydraulic cylinders
• Read mechanical drawings and perform necessary calculations for component fabrication
• Interpret instructions and respond to management's directions effectively
• Use quality control equipment such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to ensure precision
• Maintain equipment through daily upkeep and conduct preventive maintenance as needed

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to independently set up and operate CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, or manual lathe/mill equipment
• Conversational programming experience with Mazatrol and G-Code REQUIRED
• Experience in a production environment is a plus
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
