Job Summary

The Sustainability Analyst will track, analyze and report on campus energy and water usage and costs, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and waste diversion metrics, usage of natural gas, electricity and water. Areas of involvement include the development of annual Institute GHG inventory and reporting, tracking building energy portfolios, assessing utilities efficiencies and conservation measures. purchasing, contracting, pricing and availability, consumption, metering, measurement, regulation and conservation. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Sustainability staff, Facilities management, Utilities and Energy staff, procurement staff, utility companies, municipalities., regulatory agencies. This position typically will advise and counsel: Facilities management. This position will supervise:N/A.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Audit, analyze, and report on purchased utility service (electricity, natural gas, propane, water and sewer) usage and pricing.

Job Duty 2 -
Calculate and benchmark utility costs and usage for the campus. Work with campus business unit representatives to determine changes, modifications and initiatives related to usage and expenditures for energy and utilities.

Job Duty 3 -
Provide institute reporting for GHG emissions, STARS, utilities, building energy efficiency, water conservation, and overall sustainability. Conduct and track building energy portfolios and scorecards.

Job Duty 4 -
Collaborate with sustainability and operations staff to maintain a complete inventory of all sustainability metrics. Work with students on advancing utility engagement and projects. Serve as a primary point of contact for coordinating internal and external utility analytics and reporting.

Job Duty 5 -
Investigate and analyze alternative energy, water, and waste options to increase efficiency and conservation.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma,Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Overnight travel requnalysted for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering (due to client shift schedules, project requnalystements).

Required Experience
Two to three years of job related experience Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Fundamentals Examine (FE), or Engineer-in-training (EIT) Certified, Professional Engineers License or Masters in applicable field


Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering Technology

Proposed Salary

Proposed Salary: $51,390.00 - $69,890.00. Commensurate with education and experience.
