MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT

Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Communications Assistant to join its Charlotte, NC office. This entry-level position provides essential support across communications, marketing projects, and administrative operations within a professional services environment. What you’ll do: Communications Support Assist with external communications initiatives, including publications, awards, rankings, and visibility opportunities Manage calendars, track deadlines, and coordinate submissions across firm, practice, and attorney initiatives Prepare and organize materials for award and ranking submissions, such as nominations, reference lists, and matter summaries Proofread communications materials for accuracy, grammar, and adherence to brand standards Conduct research on media, industry trends, and market opportunities to support strategic initiatives Maintain and update communications databases, including awards, media placements, editorial calendars, and publication tracking Track performance metrics and outcomes related to communications and visibility efforts Support content development by organizing materials, drafting administrative components, and coordinating internal reviews Assist with internal communications initiatives as needed Utilize marketing technology and AI-enabled tools to improve research, tracking, and content preparation Marketing Support Maintain and update project trackers, ensuring accuracy across deadlines, deliverables, and status updates Coordinate meeting logistics, including scheduling, agendas, materials preparation, and follow-up actions Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentation materials Assist with vendor coordination and tracking of external partner deliverables Perform data entry and maintain marketing and business development databases Provide general administrative and operational support to the marketing and business development team Collaborate closely with team members on departmental priorities and initiatives Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned Regular and in-person attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this interactive position. What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a professional services environment is preferred; Experience in a law firm or other professional services setting preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite and digital marketing tools such as email marketing platforms, social media management, and website content management systems is a plus.
