Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients throughout pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing established assessments and observational insights.
• Create individualized treatment plans that balance immediate targets with overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing enhancement.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise integrative care methods.
• Educate patients and their families to support ongoing progress beyond the therapy room.
• Occasionally engage in inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaborative practice.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a designated Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
