Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 1:4 patient ratio; every other weekend required; floating within facility/scope of practice as needed; no call required

Highlights:

• 36-bed Neuro/Stroke Progressive Care Unit with average daily census of 30 patients
• Patient population includes adolescents through geriatrics with mixed medical cases including respiratory, cardiac, and neurological conditions
• Continuous telemetry monitoring with titration of cardiac drips required
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed per contract with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4-12)
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 1 year of experience

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, titrating cardiac drips, and PCU/stepdown level care
• Proficiency with Epic charting system preferred
• Competencies required: blood product administration, central line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, insulin drip titration, tracheostomy care, and neurosurgical patient care
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
