About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with a focus on technology and commercial law to join their dynamic and fast-growing team. The successful candidate will be a trusted strategic partner, providing high-quality legal advice and overseeing all legal operations related to the business. This role involves leading and supervising the drafting, negotiation, and management of a wide range of domestic and international contracts, with a particular emphasis on procurement, technology, IP, and data protection agreements. The Senior Legal Counsel will also be responsible for team development, risk and compliance oversight, and contributing to the operational efficiency and improvement of the legal function. Applicants must be qualified lawyers with at least 10 years' of post-qualification experience, specializing in commercial and technology contracts and transactions. The role requires a proven track record of working with senior management in complex environments, extensive experience in cross-border commercial contracts, and a strong understanding of IP, data protection, and competition law. The ideal candidate will have strong business judgment, client counseling skills, and excellent academic qualifications. Preferred experience includes management in technology or engineering organizations, in-house legal teams, and corporate transactions. The position offers the opportunity to work on transactions in Australia and across the APAC region, with a focus on operational and strategic legal support.
