Day Camp Art Specialist

Embark on a Journey of Impactful Adventure The Day Camp Art Specialist is responsible for the safety, well‑being and supervision of the campers. Assists with the planning and implementation of activities in accordance with the camp schedule, submitting written plans prior to each week or as assigned by Camp Director. Maintains positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff. Implement Art curriculum in program spaces during the camp day. Actively participate in all aspects of the day camp schedule as assigned. Maintains expectation of the YMCA requirements/rations and helps others do the same. Works collaboratively with Counselors for assigned group during activity time. Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age and/or have prior experience in working with children in a camp environment. Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs. Attend all required pre‑camp and camp season trainings and meetings as scheduled. Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings before first day of camp.
