Job Title CDS Full Time Event Manager - Product Demonstration Location Portland, Oregon, United States Salary $51,000.00 to $63,500.00 per year Job Summary CDS is the preferred in‑house event marketing provider to Costco and is looking for an event manager to recruit, hire, and supervise in‑store product demonstrators. The role involves product preparation, training, and ensuring that demonstrators provide excellent service to all club members while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities Recruit, train and hire part‑time staff. Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation requirements. Train product demonstrators in demonstration preparation and customer service best practices. Communicate between warehouse managers, vendors, and in‑store demonstrators. Participate in new location grand openings as required. Direct activities that support successful events, promotions, and sales of vendor products. Communicate strategies and tactics to achieve sales, service, and operational excellence. Support governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. Evaluate event performance metrics and make necessary adjustments. Achieve revenue and net income objectives through sales activation and expense management. Optimize customer satisfaction and loyalty via improved operations. Requirements High school education or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred). Two to five years of related experience in retail, hospitality, food environments, or a consumer‑packaged goods company. Demonstrated leadership and excellent communication skills. Ability to lead high‑performing teams and exercise independent judgment. Coaching and counseling experience with employees. Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing conditions. Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and web browsers.
