Sr. CAD/BIM Bridge Designer

Job Description A leading engineering consulting client of Insight Global is looking to add a Bridge CAD Designer to their growing transportation team. Supporting bridge projects across the country, this individual will work hand in hand with a team of designers, engineers and project managers to ensure safe and accurate completion of projects for a variety of transportation agencies. Joining a growing team of 70+ individuals, you will play a part in modernizing aging infrastructure as well as developing solutions for the next generation of transportation. Responsibilities 2D bridge plan emphasis in MicroStation with some 3D. Mainly dealing with abutments (footing layout and dimensions, stem walls, wingwalls, backwall details) and piers (columns, walls, pile caps, reinforcing layouts). Assist in the development of the discipline model, with direction from the Digital Design or Engineering staff. Responsible for assisting with the creation of the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for up to 3 projects at any given time. Accurately draft and model elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current software. Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design using the current software. Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets.
