Job TitleUpgrading Wide Area Network (WAN) equipment and fiber infrastructure at remote locations CONUS an OCONUSDesigning and implementing cable infrastructure for data centers and outside plant fiberWorking with network engineers to establish layer 1-3 connectivityPerforming installation of routers, switches, encryptors and patch panels in racksWorking with node site coordinator to extend WAN circuits to routersCoordinating with remote site POC's to plan, design, and schedule equipment and infrastructure installationCoordinating with remote COMSEC custodians to ensure the correct Keymat is ordered ahead of installation, working with local COMSEC custodians to send out appropriate COMSEC device to siteCreating cable diagrams before and update after installation is completeRequirementsTS/SCI requiredInformation Technology background required2–5 years of experience in the following areas:Working with copper cable infrastructure (CAT5E, CAT6, CAT6A)Working with Single Mode and Multimode fiber (OS2, OM1, OM3, OM4)Troubleshooting Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) connectivity issuesInstalling fiber optic transceivers (SFP, QSFP, media converters)Knowledge of outside plant (OSP) fiber installation and safety, including OSHA safety standards and confined space trainingUnderstanding of Data Center Infrastructure, including hot aisle/cold aisle environments, cable ladders, rack installation, and cable managementKnowledge of fiber and copper test equipment, such as Visual Fault Locator (VFL), Fiber Optic Power Meters, CAT5E/CAT6 testers, OTDR, and T-BERDProficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visual Basic)Must be able to lift, move, carry 50 poundsU.S. Citizenship onlyMust be willing to relocate to Charleston, South CarolinaDesired Skills2–5 years of experience in the following areas:Installing routers, cryptographic devices, circuit activations, and fiber infrastructurePerforming fusion splicing, including splice?on connectors, loose tube, ribbon fiber, and splice tray organizationWorking with DISA Telecommunications Service Orders (TSO)Prior military service or experience contracting with a government agencyClearance InformationSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET / SCI ELIGIBILITYTravel Requirements50-75% travel, able to travel for up to a month at a time, usually, one to two weeksAble to obtain US Passport (company pays)Driver's license requiredWilling to drive overseas to include (Left side of the road I.E.
