Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

This role supports a high-volume wholesale electronics distribution operation by accurately picking, packing, and shipping orders within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will use basic computer systems and handheld devices to process orders, handle materials safely, and contribute to special projects across the facility. The position requires consistent reliability, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to teamwork and safety.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and prepare electronic products for wholesale distribution according to order specifications and quality standards.

• Use basic computers, iPads, and related systems to read orders, update order status, and mark tasks as completed.

• Operate RF scanners to locate, verify, and track inventory and orders within the warehouse.

• Assist with special projects and tasks throughout the facility as needed, supporting overall warehouse operations.

• Handle materials safely by lifting individual boxes up to 50 pounds and participating in team lifts for items weighing between 50 and 125 pounds.

• Move waste and discarded materials from the assembly line or packing areas to designated dumpsters and disposal locations.

• Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move pallets and inventory throughout the warehouse.

• Participate in onsite training to learn how to operate a forklift and complete the onsite forklift certification program when eligible.

• Train to operate a forklift after the initial probationary period and once converted to a permanent employee, following all safety protocols.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following safety guidelines and reporting any hazards or issues promptly.

• Stand and walk for the majority of the shift while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily performance goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

• Previous warehouse or packaging experience, including exposure to picking, packing, shipping, or inventory tasks.

• Ability to use a computer for order entry, basic data input, and navigating simple software or web-based systems.

• Comfort using iPads or similar handheld devices to read and complete orders.

• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift while performing repetitive tasks.

• Capability to lift individual boxes up to 50 pounds safely and participate in team lifts up to 125 pounds.

• Willingness to train on forklift operations after conversion to a permanent employee.

• Proven reliability demonstrated through past work history and professional references.

• Basic material handling skills, including experience with packing, inventory handling, order picking, and shipping and receiving.

• Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a physically demanding warehouse environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order fulfillment.

• Familiarity with pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment.

• Exposure to forklift driving or a strong interest in completing an onsite forklift certification program.

• Comfort working around tall inventory shelving and busy loading dock areas.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and assist with special projects across the facility.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and dependability in a warehouse setting.

Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse environment with very tall inventory shelves and open bay doors where trucks load and unload inventory throughout the day. Safety is a major priority, with clear procedures and expectations for material handling and equipment use. The temperature in the warehouse generally matches the outdoor conditions, so you should be comfortable working in varying seasonal temperatures. You will work Monday through Friday, with an initial training schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., spending most of your shift on your feet walking, lifting, and moving materials. The facility uses computers, iPads, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts to support daily operations, and provides onsite forklift training and certification for eligible employees. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
