Environmental Health Safety Specialist

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety professional to lead safety, environmental compliance, and industrial hygiene initiatives within a dynamic production environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and workplace risk reduction. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for safety and environmental events. Develop, coordinate, and deliver employee safety training, new hire orientation, and contractor training programs. Manage environmental compliance programs including air permitting, wastewater, hazardous waste, and regulatory reporting. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures. Conduct safety audits, industrial hygiene assessments, inspections, and corrective action follow-up. Maintain SDS systems, safety documentation, training records, and compliance reporting. Partner with plant leadership to promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives. Support regulatory inspections, compliance audits, and ongoing EHS program development.
