Job DescriptionAutonomy PEMAutonomous Robotics Center (ARC) – Product DevelopmentRole OverviewThe Autonomy Stack Program Engineering Manager is accountable for delivering electrical content for ARC product programs from concept through launch, ensuring technical execution, schedule integrity, and cross‑functional alignment. This role leads the core engineering execution engine—turning product intent into released, buildable, and producible designs.The role requires a broad skill set as we build the organization with a focus on working closely with the Kokomo plant, Software team, Validation team, Development team, and deployment organization. It requires creative solutions and processes that are different from typical GM programs. Responsible for evaluation of designs, analysis, development, validation, and implementation. Lead the resolution of design, build and test issues. Requires review and approval of all engineering changes. Additionally requires being a visible leader to keep the team focused on what makes us better, faster, and more profitable.This leader ensures programs are executed with discipline, clarity, and technical excellence while navigating complex dependencies across teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.What You OwnYou are accountable for end-to-end program execution for electrical contentElectrical ExecutionWiring & CommunicationsEngineer and develop wiring, networking, and communications functionsEnsure robustness, serviceability, manufacturability, packaging and standards complianceControls, Calibration & ToolsOwn overall electrical architectures driven by product and safety requirementsLead execution of controls calibration, commissioning tools, and supporting infrastructureEnsure repeatable, scalable end of line test and calibration processes across productsSensingEnsure sensing strategies support safety, autonomy, and performance needsWork with mechanical team to ensure sensing calibration and testing are accommodatedElectrical DREs Lead design release, change management, and configuration controlEnsure wiring diagrams, models, and specifications are complete and production-readyLeadership & Operating ExpectationsOwn program plans, milestones, dependencies, and execution healthDrive disciplined engineering executionEstablish clear technical decision-makingProactively manage risk, interfaces, and cross-domain dependenciesPartner closely with Product Integration, Safety, Manufacturing, and SuppliersWhat Success Looks LikePrograms deliver on time, quality, and technical intentEngineering execution is predictable, transparent, and trustedElectrical systems integrate cleanly with minimal reworkTeams operate with clarity, accountability, and strong engineering fundamentalsIdeal Background7+ years leading complex engineering programs or productsDeep experience in mechanical and/or electrical system executionProven ability to lead multi-discipline engineering teamsStrong program management instincts paired with technical credibilityComfortable making decisions in technically dense, high-ambiguity environments GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
