Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) needed for a travel assignment in Long Term Care (LTC) – Nursing Home in Buffalo Center, Iowa. Start date: 08/24/2026. Duration: several weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,381–$1,509 per week. Guaranteed hours: 34.5 per week. Shift: Days, 3 x 11.5 hours (08:00–19:30). This is a travel - temporary assignment in an LTC setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents per individualized care plans, including monitoring vital signs and comfort measures.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, accurately documenting in the chart and communicating any changes to the team.
- Perform routine tasks such as wound care, catheter care, injections, and routine assessments under supervision of an RN.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote safety, independence, and dignity.
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other care team members to update and implement care plans; report changes in condition promptly.

Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license (state of Iowa) or eligibility to practice as an LPN.
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program (diploma or certificate).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
- Ability to work 11.5-hour day shifts and comply with resident care schedules; ability to pass background check and drug screen.
