Assembly and Test Inspector - 1st Shift (Onsite)

Job Summary Assembly and Test Inspector in our MRO Commercial Engine Center. 1st Shift Monday - Friday 6:30 pm to 3 pm. Labor Grade 5. Responsibilities Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components. Perform dimensional and visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques, including surface plate work or standard measuring techniques to verify accuracy of parts, tools, gauges, or other equipment. Accept or reject material based on findings. Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings, and other pertinent instructions to plan and perform dimensional and/or visual inspection on parts, tools, gauges and other equipment. Accept or refer material for rework or quality review based on findings. Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines. Program instructions are well‑defined, checking dimensions and recording results. Perform necessary mathematical computations to resolve extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork. Follow proper procedures to perform in‑line checks and verifications of dimensions and make sure that operation sheets are being followed. May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills. What You Will Learn Skills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing within a state‑of‑the‑art facility. Interpretation/application of tech data to aid in the disassembly and assembly of commercial and military jet engines. Forklift, scissor lift, and other PIV trainings. Basic Qualifications High school graduate or GED. 2 years formal training in power‑plant mechanics and testing. Preferred Qualifications A&P license. Experience working from complicated drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate, configure, install, remove/replace, and set up a variety of power systems, components, modules, and associated equipment. Experience working with Solumina, SFWF, or similar programs. Ability to obtain and maintain certifications to operate powered industrial vehicles. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance.
