We are seeking two experienced Machinists to join our tire mold manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and optimization of CNC machining processes using Siemens 840D-controlled equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, the ability to machine complex and large-scale components, and a proactive approach to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a precision manufacturing environment. We are excited to add two team members to our workforce. These roles offer the following shift options:  Friday–Sunday (6:00 AM–6:00 PM)or  Monday–Friday (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) .

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines utilizing Siemens 840D controls
• Machine precision components for new and existing tire molds in accordance with engineering drawings, CAD/CAM data, and process specifications
• Interpret and apply blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, and quality requirements
• Load, prove out, and make minor edits to CNC programs as required
• Select appropriate tooling, perform tool changes, and set tool offsets
• Monitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and cycle efficiency
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, indicators, height gauges, CMM, etc.)
• Identify, troubleshoot, and correct machining, tooling, and quality issues
• Document inspection results, process changes, and non-conformances as required
• Maintain machines through routine preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and housekeeping standards
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including scrap reduction and cycle time optimization
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Assist with training and mentoring of less experienced machinists as needed
• Meet production schedules and contribute to on-time delivery goals

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of CNC machining experience (tire mold, heavy machining, or large-part machining preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens 840D CNC controls
• Experience machining large, complex, or multi-axis components
• Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T accurately
• Proficiency with precision measurement and inspection tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate in a team environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, apprenticeship, or formal machining training preferred
