Pay Range: $90-100/hour (190-210k conversion)

Job Description:
The Senior Data Architect will play a key role in defining the organization's enterprise data strategy and modernizing its data ecosystem to support analytics, AI, and future business initiatives. This individual will partner closely with architects, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders to design scalable, cloud-based data solutions that enable long-term growth.


This position is highly collaborative and requires someone who can evaluate architecture from both a strategic and technical perspective. While this is not a hands-on engineering role, candidates should have enough technical depth to challenge architectural decisions, understand modern engineering practices, and help guide teams toward scalable, maintainable solutions.



Required Skills:
• 7+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale data architecture solutions
• Strong background building modern data platforms, including data lakes, data integration, and enterprise data strategy
• Experience designing cloud-based data architectures utilizing AWS and Oracle technologies
• Deep understanding of Oracle databases and Oracle Exadata environments
• Experience developing enterprise data models, ETL/ELT strategies, and scalable data processing solutions
• Strong understanding of modern enterprise architecture concepts such as data mesh and distributed data architectures
• Familiarity with cloud-native architecture principles and multi-cloud strategies
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, compliance, and enterprise data management best practices
• Experience collaborating with engineering leadership, architects, and business stakeholders across large organizations



Bonus / Soft Skills:
• Knowledge of AI technologies and how enterprise data platforms support AI initiatives
• Familiarity with concepts such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), machine learning workflows, vector data, and modern AI architectures
• Understanding of how data architecture enables Large Language Models (LLMs), AI copilots, and enterprise AI adoption
• Experience with modern architectural patterns such as event-driven architecture, service mesh, or data mesh
• Ability to evaluate software architecture decisions without being a day-to-day software engineer
• Progressive mindset with a passion for staying current on emerging technologies and industry trends
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders
• Experience mentoring teams and providing architectural guidance across multiple initiatives
• Experience in highly regulated environments such as healthcare, financial services, or other enterprise environments is a plus
