Lead Early Childhood After School Care Teacher

The Eugene Waldorf School is looking for a Lead Early Childhood After School Care Teacher for our early childhood program for the 2026-27 school year.

We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, imaginative, nurturing person to join our group of early childhood teachers who oversee the holding of 2.5 - 6 year old children; a creative teacher who speaks to the children in imaginative pictures, who has a connection with nature and who is not averse to rainy weather! We are seeking a teacher who can establish a healthy rhythm with warmth and joy.

Established in 1980, our school has deep roots in the local community and provides a comprehensive Waldorf education to students in preschool through eighth grade. Our four-acre campus is nestled in the southwest hills of Eugene, Oregon which is a vibrant, artistic, and eco-conscious community. Eugene is located at the south end of the Willamette Valley with a rich cultural life and offers an abundance of natural beauty and outdoor recreation in the Pacific Northwest.

Lead teacher applicants are required to have a Waldorf teacher training certificate and lead teaching experience. We value the additional education of a bachelor’s degree. They should have excellent communication skills, work collegially and be enthusiastic about parent education.
