Clinical – Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, providing a welcoming environment
• Assist with scheduling and answer phone calls to coordinate patient appointments
• Take patient vitals and perform phlebotomy or venipuncture procedures
• Administer vaccines and support clinical procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
• Collaborate with clinic staff, providers, and wellness program teams to support health education initiatives

Required Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience (including externship experience)
• Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and electronic medical records (EMR)
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills with patients
• Proficient computer skills

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
• Willingness to pick up a consent form at Lake County after employment confirmation and collaborate with the Lake County coordinator for background screening
• Experience working with diverse patient populations aged 2 and above
• Availability for shifts including dates in late December and early January, with shifts typically from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment focused on health education, outreach, and population health management
