Per Diem Mammography Technologist I/II - Kelsey-Seybold Clinic - Summer Creek

Position Summary Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Mammography Technologist will utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes in accordance with the policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic. The technologist will perform mammography and DEXA studies and use the designated radiology information system (RIS) and picture archiving and communication system (PACS). The technologist may also be assigned other technical or non‑technical duties if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by the supervisor. Per Diem Mammography Technologist II Utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes in accordance with policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic. Perform mammography and DEXA studies. Use the designated radiology information system (RIS) and PACS system. May be assigned other duties, technical or non‑technical, if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by the supervisor. In addition to mammography and DEXA studies, perform general radiographic studies, fluoroscopic studies, ASC procedures, and/or SCNB procedures. Required Qualifications (All Levels) High school diploma or GED. Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program with 40 hours of mammography training approved by the ARRT and 25 supervised examinations to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements. ARRT (R) MRT–General Certificate. Attain ARRT (M) within one year of eligibility. BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Experience using Microsoft applications; working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements. Proven excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications for Per Diem Mammography Technologist II 40 hours of mammography training approved by the ARRT to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements. ARRT (R)(M) MRT–General Certificate. Two years of mammography experience or one year of KSC experience in X‑ray and/or SCNB. PACS and RIS experience. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay ranges from $29.00 to $52.00 per hour based on full‑time employment, local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors.
