Overview & Position Summary This position is responsible for performing quality control reviews of loan files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory, agency, and company requirements. This role applies established QC procedures to identify defects, document findings, and support corrective actions that strengthen loan quality. This position collaborates with internal partners to clarify issues, support the resolution of findings, and contribute to overall lending compliance and risk mitigation. Primary Responsibilities Conduct quality control audits on loan files in accordance with company, regulatory, and investor guidelines. Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures. Identify defects, inconsistencies, and potential compliance issues, documenting results clearly and accurately. Analyze difficult issues, drawing on prior experience and established procedures to determine appropriate classification and recommendations. Communicate audit findings and provide clarification to internal partners within the lending function. Support the team in resolving questions regarding QC procedures, documentation, or loan file requirements. Assist in trend monitoring and contribute observations that support process improvements. Maintain accurate records of audit outcomes and ensure timely completion of assigned reviews. May provide guidance or assistance to entry-level team members or colleagues learning QC processes. Support adherence to internal policies, quality expectations, and documentation standards. Education & Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in quality control, auditing, compliance, risk management, or consumer lending operations Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience, e.g., 6-8 years) Experience reviewing files, processes, or documentation for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements Preferred: Experience with agency/investor guidelines (e.g., FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA). Familiarity with QC systems, LOS platforms, or audit tools. Exposure to regulatory or compliance processes within mortgage operations. Skills & Competencies Broad knowledge of mortgage processes, documentation, and QC practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and compliance standards. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under moderate supervision while managing assigned workload. Proficiency with LOS systems, QC platforms, and audit documentation tools. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to collaborate with team members and internal partners. Sound judgment in identifying and classifying defects. Commitment to accuracy and quality assurance. Working Conditions Work is performed in a general office or remote-office environment using computers, QC and LOS systems, and communication tools. Workload may vary based on review cycles, production volume, and audit schedules. Limited travel may be required for team meetings or training. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while reviewing digital or physical loan files. Frequent use of computers, audit systems, and communication tools. Ability to lift and carry light materials such as documents or file packets. Ability to move within office environments for collaboration or meetings. Ability to maintain accuracy and focus when performing detailed review work. Compensation

• Base Salary: $65,000-$75,000
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
• Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
