This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to expand beyond traditional AR and gain experience in managed care, payer contracting, credentialing, enrollment, and fee schedule management.The team is willing to train on many aspects of the position. The most important qualification is understanding how outpatient surgery claims are reimbursed and how to investigate when they don't pay correctly.ResponsibilitiesResearch denied, underpaid, and incorrectly reimbursed claimsDetermine expected reimbursement using payer contracts and fee schedulesIdentify root causes of payment discrepancies and work issues through resolutionCommunicate with insurance carriers and navigate payer/provider portalsReview payer contracts and reimbursement termsAssist with commercial payer, Medicare, and Medicaid enrollmentSupport credentialing and recredentialingMaintain payer contracts and fee schedules across multiple ASCsHelp ensure updated fee schedules are accurately loaded into billing systemsAssist with managed care contracting and bundled payment programsTroubleshoot payer and Revenue Cycle issues as they ariseUse Excel for tracking, analysis, and operational supportQualifications2–3+ years of healthcare Revenue Cycle experienceASC or outpatient surgery collections/AR experience strongly preferredUnderstanding of ASC/outpatient surgery reimbursementKnowledge of commercial and Medicare reimbursementBasic understanding of CPT codesExperience researching denials, underpayments, and payer discrepanciesAbility to read and understand payer contractsComfortable communicating directly with insurance payersStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentNice to Have:Managed care or payer contracting experienceCredentialing/recredentialing experienceMedicare or Medicaid enrollment experienceFee schedule experienceStrong Microsoft Excel skillsWhat Makes Someone SuccessfulWe are looking for someone who enjoys being a problem-solver.
