Registered Nurse II - NE ED

Job Summary Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal‑directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. Eligibility & Qualifications Minimum training and education: Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse. Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Required certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or equivalent; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors, from elevated areas, in confined spaces, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, pinching, gross motor activities, firm grasping, fine manipulation, reaching overhead, repetitive motions, using both legs and lower extremities, lifting and carrying 50 lbs. Unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs from floor 36 in., at 36 in. to overhead 25 lbs, exerting up to 50 lbs of force. Vision 20/40 corrected, hearing acuity with correction, sensory functions, stress management, rotating shifts, overtime, latex safe environment, respirator use if required.
