About the Position

Job Title: Ultrasound Technician Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Radiology (Ultrasound/MRI) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year required License: ARDMS or equivalent in Ultrasound Certifications: ARRT certification/registration in MRI, or eligibility through an ARRT recognized MRI pathway Must-Have: Completion of specialty program Description: Ultrasound technician needed for a 13-week contract. Candidates who can perform both Ultrasound and MRI procedures are preferred. Start date is ASAP. Shift hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. 40 hours are guaranteed per week. No weekend rotation is required. No holiday rotation is required. No float rotation is required. There are no on-call or call-back requirements. The technician will perform routine diagnostic examinations safely and accurately. Quality images must be obtained according to established protocols. The department operates 24/7 and supports an emergency and inpatient service. The staffing consists of approximately 10 technicians across various specialties. Typical staffing ratios are 2-3 technicians per shift. Scrub colors should be clean and professional. Jewelry and body adornment policy is conservative, with no septum allowed. Flu vaccine is required between December 1 and April 1.
