Maintenance Assistant Chief

Our client is the leading provider of linen management services to the healthcare and hospitality industries. They are currently expanding the maintenance team in Batavia, IL and are looking for military veteran to help lead this 3rd shift team.

Military experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical systems, equipment operations, engineering, facilities, aviation, vehicle maintenance, power generation, utilities, or other technical fields can provide an excellent foundation for success in this position.

If you have experience leading a maintenance team, maintaining mission-critical equipment, following preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems, managing parts and tools, or operating heavy equipment safely, your military experience may translate very well to this opportunity.

The maintenance assistant will grease the machines, clean lint from the machines, inspect the machines for wear and damage,

troubleshoot and repair machine problems, clear machine jams, wax machine blades, check machines for air leaks, water leaks,

oil leaks, shut down the boilers, start up the boilers, perform water tests, perform boiler tests, change acid drums, monitor PH

system, change AC filters, drive the scissors lift, boom lift, and forklift safely, etc.

Essential Duties:

Perform all the preventative maintenance procedures on the production equipment, building and surrounding area.

Troubleshoot and repair machine problems. Clear machine jams.

• Manage the maintenance team

-Supervised Preventative Maintenance

• Mechanically evaluate equipment of proper function and need for repair
• Perform and manage maintenance personnel on all of the preventative maintenance procedures on the production

equipment and building

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems
• Repair items at floor to ceiling level
• Ability to work in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees
