Position Summary
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team at our Plano, TX headquarters. This hands-on role will partner closely with the Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general accounting for multiple entities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a passion for process improvement in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare account analyses, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial and operational reports.
- Support financial statement preparation, including variance analysis.
- Review billing processes and assist in process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with regulatory filings, tax preparation (annual and quarterly reports with states), and other compliance activities.
- Provide timely, accurate responses to management inquiries.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with NetSuite.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proven ability to work with sensitive, confidential information.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- High energy, team-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
