Marketing Intern

Are you creative, organized, and eager to gain hands-on marketing experience? Troy Bank & Trust is seeking a Marketing Intern to support the promotion of our products, services, and community initiatives.

This paid internship offers valuable experience in social media marketing, event planning, communications, content creation, and customer engagement. The selected candidate will work alongside experienced marketing professionals in a community banking environment while developing practical skills and industry knowledge.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist with creating and managing content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Support the planning and coordination of community events, customer appreciation activities, and promotional campaigns.
• Assist with marketing campaigns and brand awareness initiatives.
• Create marketing materials and support communication efforts, including written content and press releases.
• Gain insight into how financial institutions market products and services to customers.
• Collaborate with team members on special projects and strategic marketing initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Rising junior, senior, or graduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with or a strong interest in social media marketing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Schedule

• Intern schedules are designed to align with academic obligations and business needs. Most work hours will occur Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and Saturday events may be required.

Other

• Must work in person/office.
• Ability to walk, kneel, bend, climb, crawl, lift and carry up to 20 pounds, stand or sit for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks associated with filing, sorting, organizing, and general office operations.
