Sales Consultant / Account Executive – Payments & Merchant Services (Contract)

Location: 100% Remote (U.S.). Must be flexible to work an Eastern Time schedule.

Job Description

We are hiring a large class of Sales Consultants / Account Executives to join a fast-growing merchant services team. This is a consultative, relationship-driven software sales role, not a high-volume, transactional one. You will act as a problem solver and trusted advisor, learning how business owners operate and showing how payments and money movement solutions can help them save time, reduce costs, and grow.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Proactively identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts and recommend strategic solutions.

• Understand business owners' needs, challenges, and goals through consultative discovery.
\n
• Position merchant services, payments, and bill pay solutions against customer business challenges with a clear focus on ROI.
\n
• Drive product adoption, utilization, and account expansion after the initial sale.
\n
• Articulate the value of the platform and its competitive advantages versus other providers.
\n
• Apply knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable workflows to recommend the right solutions.
\n
• Manage a large pipeline of prospects in Salesforce and maintain a healthy sales cycle.
\n
• Work inbound, outbound, and warm lead opportunities as business needs require.
\n
• Track and deliver on key metrics, including quota attainment, close rates, and pipeline velocity.
\n
• Partner with support teams and internal stakeholders to move deals through close and serve customers well.
\n

Required Experience/Skills

\n
• 2+ years of fintech/payments experience.
\n
• 2+ years of quota-carrying software/SaaS or technology sales experience, preferably in merchant services.
\n
• Experience selling merchant services or payments solutions across multiple industries.
\n
• Familiarity with merchant services standards such as rates, cost analysis, and risk management.
\n
• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes related to money movement.
\n
• Proven ability to manage a large pipeline in Salesforce.
\n
• Experience with sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, Solution Selling, or Sandler.
\n
• Track record of managing accounts beyond the initial sale, growing adoption and revenue.
\n
• Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.
\n
• Flexibility to work any shift within 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM ET and openness to both inbound and outbound sales.

• Prior sales experience with accounting software, ERP, or financial management solutions.

• Experience selling to the small business and mid-market segment.

• Familiarity with the full client management lifecycle.

Pay & Benefits Summary

\n
• Hourly pay: $24.86/hour.
\n
• 100% remote work.
\n

Please note: this contract role is not commission-based. Compensation consists of hourly pay plus performance bonuses.
