Shifts: 12 Hour Shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week


Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Surgical Stepdown for a travel assignment in Topeka, Kansas. This role focuses on delivering exceptional post-surgical care within a dedicated stepdown unit, allowing for professional growth in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Surgical Stepdown

• Deliver high-quality post-operative care to bariatric, urologic/nephrology, and other surgical patients
• Manage infection control and wound care for post-surgical patients
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to implement patient care plans
• Maintain accurate patient records through the Epic charting system
• Float as needed to other post-surgical and med-surg inpatient floors

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Surgical Stepdown

• Current AHA BLS certification
• KS or Multistate nursing license
• ADN or BSN degree
• Minimum 1-year experience in progressive care/stepdown
• Familiarity with the Epic charting system preferred
