Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | 48 Hours Guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Telemetry/Medical-Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on both day and night shifts
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings via bedside and nurses' station screens; respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Perform IV starts and manage Alaris IV pumps and Dynamap (WelchAllyn) equipment
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly safety rounds, and maintain personal patient connections following AIDET communication standards
• Float to orthopedic or telemetry units as needed based on staffing requirements and verified competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or a compact state
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry or Medical-Surgical RN experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong time management skills in a high-acuity, fast-paced unit environment
• Proficient IV start skills and experience with telemetry monitoring equipment
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
• Demonstrated commitment to patient experience and relationship-centered care
