Dental Hygienist – School Based Sealant Program Responsibilities Serve as a dental hygienist in the School Based Sealant program. Provide dental assessments and take pictures of the interior of students’ mouths for tele‑dentistry. Educate students on oral hygiene techniques. Apply fluoride varnish treatments and dental sealants. Qualifications Clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license. Current/active CPR certificate. Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of dental terminology. Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices. Skills in using dental instruments and performing dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planning. Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques. Ability to communicate effectively. Time‑management skills to treat an adequate number of patients in a timely manner. Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants, and volunteers to promote teamwork and improve the health of Marion County residents. Work Information Work location: 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34475 or alternating school site locations. Work timings: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Pay rate: $23.62/hour, 40‑hour work week.
