This position will perform a variety of analytical and experimental activities to support the development, testing, and production of electrical power generation, controls and distribution, and emergency power aircraft systems.What You Will DoStructural dynamic analysis including modal analysis, prediction of vibration response levels and characteristics, rotordynamic analysis, and stress analysis of electronic enclosures / circuit boards / electronic components. Methods and tools include finite element analysis (ANSYS), other specialized software, and internally developed routines.Vibration development and qualification testing utilizing electro-dynamic shakers. Tasks include test set-up, programming of the controllers, conducting the test, data acquisition, data analysis and reporting. Diagnostic testing to troubleshoot hardware problems, characterize structural dynamic behavior of equipment, and assess machinery health. Tests include using a variety of transducer types, signal conditioning, and data acquisition / analysis equipment. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
