Program Information Program: Fremont County Head Start - Canon City, CO Contact: May fill out application at the Main Office - 1718 Brookside, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday Rate of Pay: $17.50-$20.50 depending on education and experience Closing Date: When filled Position Description UAACOG Fremont County Head Start is now hiring a dynamic and experienced Lead Teacher for our Early Childhood Program in Canon City, CO. Duties include: Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children. Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children. Responsible for the safety and well‑being of each child, responding to their emotional needs. Implementing lesson plans and curriculum on a weekly basis across all areas of child development. Establishing a professional rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children. Qualifications An associate's degree or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education OR an associate's degree or bachelor's degree with 12 Early Childhood Education credits completed (Level 2 Colorado Early Childhood credential can qualify, if willing to enroll in an associate's degree program). Must have 2 years of verifiable and relevant experience.
