Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups, utilizing a mix of established assessments and observational insights.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to address both immediate challenges and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language mastery, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure cohesive care plans.
• Facilitate education and resources for patients and their families to bolster progress and understanding outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring continuity of care on the therapeutic journey.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in alignment with state, federal, and organizational compliance standards.
• Pursue ongoing educational opportunities to stay at the forefront of the speech-language pathology field through continuing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preference for Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
