QA Test Lead/Manual Tester
Austin, TX
6 months Contract with possibility to extension
The Testing Lead will be responsible for establishing testing strategy, building the testing team, documenting processes and procedures, tracking testing progress, and investigating, selecting, configuring, and using testing automation tools.
Gather and document requirements, create and update use cases for the project.
Understand the business requirements of the existing system
Coordinates and participates in the review of test plans, scripts, and results of user acceptance test plans with business and technical groups. Develops test scenarios, test scripts, and test plans using testing tools for software specifications.
Executes test plans and script reviews and assists team members in performing and completing test activities.
Identifies, analyzes, and documents software defects; assists developers in analyzing and resolving defects.
Review documents and assist with quality assurance of the application, the artifacts, and the processes of the project.
Assists project managers in making assignments and managing project tasks.
Monitors and performs user acceptance testing.
Someone who can:
Contribute to and create test cases, test plans, and monitor bugs
Be able to review requirements, tie bugs back to requirements, and perform bug analysis. (they will work the PM/BA on this)
Able to collaborate with and direct existing FTEs
