Respiratory Therapist - NICU

Provide respiratory therapy services in the NICU and must be able to float to adult units, including floors, emergency department, and intensive care units. This position requires rotating assignments across NICU and other critical areas. Assignments will vary based on acuity, and responsibilities include management of patients in both neonatal and adult settings. Night shift requirements include arterial blood gas draw and analysis, oxygen therapy, and BiPAP/CPAP implementation. Attendance at monthly department meetings is expected. The candidate will need to familiarize themselves with departmental protocols and initiatives to ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures. Familiarity with specific equipment and ventilators is preferred. Candidates must be prepared for potential mandatory on-call shifts and are required to work every other weekend and holiday. First-time travelers are accepted, but prior travel experience in critical care settings is desirable. The work environment involves diverse patient age groups, including neonates, infants, children, and adults. Candidates should be capable of managing respiratory distress cases and performing neonatal transports as needed.
