We are URGENTLY hiring skilled and experienced CNC Machinist for 1st and 2nd shift openings!!

Actively hiring several candidates for openings in industrial, customer focused manufacturing specializing in custom and tight-tolerance work. You will set up and machine parts from blueprint to finished product using CNC milling equipment with Fanuc controls. Position requires strong job-shop experience, the ability to program and edit G-code/M-code, and the capability to hold close tolerances while managing full-cycle machining tasks from setup through inspection.

Responsibilities

• Set up and machine CNC mill parts from start to finish with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of the machining process.
• Interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation to determine machining strategies and requirements.
• Program, edit, and transfer CNC programs using Fanuc controls, including writing and modifying G-code and M-code as needed.
• Cut and prepare soft jaws and create custom work-holding setups to securely and efficiently hold parts during machining.
• Identify and select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on material type and job requirements.
• Machine components to exact specifications, consistently maintaining tight tolerances, including +/- .002 when required.
• Inspect and verify part dimensions using basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and follow established safety protocols to ensure reliable and safe operation.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining, setup, or process challenges.
• Perform secondary operations on manual machines, including manual lathes and mills, as needed to complete jobs.
• Operate drilling and tapping equipment, milling machines, and other shop machinery related to CNC machining.
• Support changeovers and machine setups to accommodate different jobs in a dynamic job-shop environment.
• Participate in first-shift training to learn equipment, procedures, safety requirements, and quality expectations before transitioning to second shift.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of machining experience in a job-shop environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Demonstrated skill in setting up and machining parts from start to finish independently, including selecting tooling and establishing machining parameters.
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls, including the ability to write, edit, and transfer programs using G-codes and M-codes.
• Experience cutting soft jaws and creating custom work-holding setups for complex or custom parts.
• Strong understanding of speeds and feeds for various materials and the ability to apply this knowledge in production.
• Ability to produce parts within +/- .002 tolerance when required, maintaining consistent quality.
• Proficiency in using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to verify dimensions.
• Ability to operate a manual lathe and/or manual mill to support secondary operations.
• Hands-on experience with CNC milling machines, including drilling, tapping, and general CNC machining operations.
• Competence in machine setup, changeovers, and machine operation in a job-shop environment.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs as part of daily work.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and in noisy manufacturing environments while using appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Visual acuity sufficient to read prints and inspect parts and hearing ability to follow instructions in a manufacturing setting.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime when required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating overhead and jib cranes.
• Familiarity with forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in a job-shop setting working on challenging, custom parts.
• Experience with CNC machining centers using Fanuc controls in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Comfort working independently on second shift while collaborating effectively with the broader team.
• Flexibility to adjust to training on first shift and then transition to second shift.

Work Environment

The role is based in a shop/manufacturing environment that is described as very clean and organized. New hires initially train on 1st shift, typically from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM for approximately 2–3 weeks, working closely with experienced team members to learn equipment, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards. After successful completion of training, the position transitions to a regular 2nd shift schedule of 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed. The environment involves working around manufacturing equipment, including CNC mills, manual lathes and mills, drilling and tapping machines, and material handling equipment such as cranes and lifts where applicable. The shop can be noisy, and personal protective equipment is used as required.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rancocas, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $65000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
