Sales Development Associate

Job Description Summary: The Sales Development Associate’s job is to meet or exceed service expectations while selling product, merchandising, and fulfilling route management objectives to drive volume and profit growth in accounts. This position covers routes lacking current coverage until a permanent sales representative is assigned. Job Responsibilities Call on accounts and create an efficient routing pattern. Strategise and preplan sales and merchandising objectives, reviewing pricing and product information monthly. Maintain product levels in accounts by inventorying and restocking shelves. Ensure maximum brand visibility with point‑of‑sale materials. Deliver products, handle customer issues, and refer matters to management. Obtain payment when required, depending on the market. Enforce distribution, volume, and activity goals for supplier brands. Complete all necessary surveys for national account compliance. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience. No prior experience required. Basic PC skills using MS Office. Results‑oriented professional with verbal and written communication, diplomacy, and customer‑service skills. Ability to multi‑task, work independently or in a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines. Analytical and reporting skills. Sound judgement and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume team environment. Preferred Qualifications Ability to hold a Solicitor’s Permit. Understanding of Wine and Spirits. Strong computer, customer‑service, and interpersonal skills. Preferred previous sales experience. Physical Requirements Stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone while performing the job duties. Competencies Accountable for meeting own targets; work is reviewed periodically. Problems are defined, repetitive, and routine with readily available solutions. Compensation $23.00/hr + $200 monthly car allowance and company‑issued fuel card. Eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, paid time off, and participation in the company 401(k) plan.
