Work Schedule Ally designates roles as (1) fully on‑site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need. Location In‑office in Costa Mesa, CA. Candidate must reside in Costa Mesa, CA. Job Title Insurance Business Development Rep (BDR) – also referred to as Insurance Portfolio Lead (IPL). Key Responsibilities Meet or exceed goals to sell and renew Property and Casualty insurance products to targeted automobile dealership clients. Sell Inventory insurance, Garage Package, Cyber liability, and Worker's Compensation. Evaluate customer insurance needs, respond to inquiries about coverage and loss prevention, and work with the service team to secure necessary documents for renewal and new business applications. Build and maintain knowledge regarding automobile dealership operations, the automobile industry, current insurance market conditions and competitors. Build and maintain insurance technical knowledge around the core curriculum of the CPCU designation. Build and maintain sales skills, including proficiency in virtual tools. Qualifications and Skills 1+ years of successful sales experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED equivalent required. Ability to develop business relationships with dealer principals and decision makers. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Sales training experience desired. Well‑developed business management, presentation, and relationship‑selling skills. High level of accountability and ability to effectively prioritize tasks. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to objectively manage conflicting priorities. Ability to function in a matrix organization. Dealership operations and insurance product knowledge preferred. Ability to work with MS Office applications. Ability to work independently and possess strong customer‑service skills. Assist with local marketing campaigns.
