Senior Oncology Specialist Territory covers Houston S. (MD Anderson) Relocation is not offered for this role. What You Will Do You will act as the primary customer contact to provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products to medical professionals. Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales. Analyze the effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with the District Manager. Maintain passion for the products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand and focusing on patient service. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and demonstrate continuous curiosity and learning. Leverage passion for oncology and awareness of disease state, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results. What We Expect Of You Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of sales experience or clinical experience in a non-sales healthcare or scientific field. Associate degree and at least 6 years of sales experience or clinical experience in a non-sales healthcare or scientific field. High school diploma or GED and at least 8 years of sales experience or clinical experience in a non-sales healthcare or scientific field. Preferred Qualifications Preferred experience in oncology. Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries. Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases. Local market knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business administration. Adaptability with core competencies: planning and organizing; leveraging business, industry, and technical knowledge; communicating with impact; driving for results; cultivating internal and external relationships.
