Controls Design Engineer

Create new control strategies, diagnostics, and communication methods for General Motors portfolio applications Develop controls and diagnostics using common methods for VMEC features Develop algorithms for vehicle features and systems Research and develop solutions to controls problems across chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal domains Advance control and system simulation technology Collaborate with Systems Engineers to define vehicle, subsystem, and behavioral requirements Develop robust vehicle-system algorithms from a clean sheet, including software architecture, implementation, integration, and testing Collaborate with other teams to define and integrate components Check functionality on the bench and on the vehicle Define software unit tests, HIL tests, and vehicle tests based on customer expectations and system requirements Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree Two years of experience in the job offered or related engineering position Two (2) years of experience with embedded controls or controls software development Two (2) years of experience with Simulink and

MATLAB
