Title: Sr. Mechanical/Piping Engineer - Nuclear

Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineers to perform pipe stress analysis and piping design for nuclear reactor projects. The position will support reactor or nuclear-island piping systems and may include pressure vessels, piping supports, finite element analysis, and code-compliance calculations.

Candidates must demonstrate hands-on piping analysis experience-not simply general mechanical engineering or project oversight.

Required Skills

• Senior-level mechanical or piping engineering experience
• Strong hands-on pipe stress analysis experience
• Piping system design and engineering analysis experience
• Experience with finite element analysis or advanced mechanical calculations
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.1
• Ability to perform, review, and document piping calculations
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, piping layouts, specifications, and design requirements

Highly Preferred

• Direct nuclear power or reactor project experience
• Nuclear-island or reactor-system piping experience
• Experience with nuclear pressure vessels or safety-related piping
• Knowledge of applicable nuclear codes, including ASME Section III
• Active PE license or progress toward obtaining one
• Experience from an SMR company, nuclear engineering organization, or major AEC/EPC firm

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior mechanical or piping engineer who has personally performed pipe stress and design calculations for nuclear power systems. Their resume should clearly identify the piping systems, nuclear project, analytical work, codes, and software used.

Oil and gas, petrochemical, power-generation, or other highly regulated piping experience may be transferable, but candidates with nuclear experience and/or a PE license should receive priority.
