Associate Family Law Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Education Law Attorney at the Associate or Counsel level in New Jersey. This role involves advising and representing school clients in legal matters related to education and public sector law, offering hands‑on experience, mentorship, and a pathway for professional growth and advancement. Duties Represent public school districts in labor, employment, and education law matters. Advocate, negotiate, and resolve legal issues for school clients and stakeholders. Draft legal memoranda, opinions, policies, discovery materials, and other documents. Attend Board of Education meetings. Participate in administrative hearings and labor arbitrations. Requirements Strong work ethic and effective management of responsibilities. Solid organizational and case management abilities. Experience with public sector or education law preferred. Knowledge of labor and employment law in the public sector is advantageous. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey Bar. Skills Strong oral advocacy and communication skills. Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing abilities. Effective negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Attention to detail and organizational strength. Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
