Facilities Account Specialist

Join our billing team as a Facilities Account Specialist, where you'll manage facility billing accounts, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and maintain strong communication with facility partners. This position is remote-approved, offers a stable hourly schedule, and plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and operational efficiency across facility accounts.

What You'll Do

• Review and interpret facility contracts to ensure accurate billing
• Maintain and update contract tracking spreadsheets, including facility contacts, payors, and fee schedules within Traumasoft
• Prepare, audit, and submit facility invoices
• Investigate and resolve invoice disputes or discrepancies
• Post facility payments according to established policies
• Manage facility accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
• Document all communications and collection activity in tracking systems
• Participate in departmental training and required staff meetings
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Degree or certification in medical billing preferred, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices
• Basic understanding of medical coding and third-party billing
• Ability to operate billing software, office equipment, and multi-line phone systems
• Strong professional communication skills (phone + email)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships with facilities, employees, and insurance companies
